Shrink Ray Farms is a tiny hobby farm in the Cascade foothills overlooking the Columbia Gorge. Our one acre farm is populated by miniature chickens, ducks, goats, and sheep, as well as dwarf fruit and nut trees.

The property was purchased in 2015 as a single family home with a large lawn and basketball court. Since then the lawn has steadily disappeared and turned in to planting beds, fruit trees and a duck pond as we work to create a sustainable food forest. The basketball court was used as the base for a large greenhouse and even the jungle gym in the front yard was repurposed as a chicken coop.

All of our animals breeds where chosen both for their hardiness as well as their docile nature. The hope was to have working animals that genuinely enjoyed human interaction and on this we succeeded wholeheartedly.

Everyone has a job. The ducks and chickens control pests as well as providing eggs. The sheep provide wool and serve as guard animals. Then there are the goats: The sweet, wonderful and absolutely hilarious goats who had not yet found their purpose. This is why we came up with Goatgrams.
